Project description
The objective of this project is to
design and evaluate new software paradigms for creating collaborative
applications, with a focus on remote teaching applications. The
project studies the use of component frameworks (based on Java Beans)
in order to define generic situations within such applications. We
developed a framework for the « get help » problem, i.e., the problem
of a student requesting help from a tutor. In particular, we proposed
a new framework for the run-time tailoring of the application through
the distribution of new components that are automatically inserted at
specific places within the application. Finally, we are currently
designing an awareness framework for the automatic distribution of
events within user groups, based on the interest of these groups.
